Vol. 152 Denim Design
Denim Design
Casa Brutus delves into the field of one the world’s most beloved materials.
This month Casa Brutus dons all things denim, from manufacturing to indie labels to inventive uses of the trusted, durable material. We meet with modern masters like Simon Miller – entrusted as the designer of Ron Herman Denim, in addition to his own line launched in 2006 – and noted menswear designer Todd Snyder, who takes us to a denim manufacturer par excellence right here in Japan, the Koruki factory in Okayama. We also dive deep into the legendary Levi world, take a peak at how Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Mui Mui are reinventing denim fashion and even managed to find innovative, non-wearable related applications: denim furniture and denim art!
In addition, this month features extensive coverage of the la Biennale di Venezia 13th International Architecture Exhibition and our very own Tokyo Design Event Preview 2012. Find out which items the Casa Brutus team liked best, and where you can find them.
My Masterpiece returns with guest lifestyle consultant Sonya Park, and you’ll find art and lifestyle updates from Window on the World and On Your Fridge. A unique issue of your Life Design Magazine you won’t want to miss.
